Centuries ago, wooden-hulled boats carried coffee from the Indian coast to Europe. During its half-year voyage,
salty ocean spray turned the beans from green to yellow, giving them a deep nutty and woody flavor. Today Malabar's
growers still rely on the weather to produce this unique coffee, by leaving burlap bags of coffee out in the annual
monsoon rain and wind to give the beans their signature flavor. This coffee has a unique musky and smoky aroma with
a full body and low to mild acidity.
